1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how PIXELAT DESIGN AND PROGRAMMING ("Pixelat", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the MotoriGo mobile application ("the App"). By using MotoriGo, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
MotoriGo is a vehicle management application that helps users track vehicle services, fuel expenses, mileage, and maintenance schedules. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled responsibly.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name (optional)
- Authentication credentials (managed by Firebase Authentication)
- Sign-in method (Email, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In)
2.2 Vehicle & Maintenance Data
Information you voluntarily enter about your vehicles:
- Vehicle details (make, model, year, fuel type, mileage)
- UAE license plate information (emirate, plate number, category)
- Vehicle photos and color preferences
- Service records (type, date, cost, location, notes, receipt photos)
- Fuel entries (fuel grade, cost, station, mileage at fill-up)
- Mileage history and update timestamps
2.3 Location Data
When you use location-based features (fuel station finder, service location), we may collect:
- Approximate device location (used to find nearby fuel stations)
- Station locations you manually select and save
Location access is permission-based and entirely optional. The app functions fully without location access. We use battery-efficient location accuracy (approximately 100 meters) and do not continuously track your location.
2.4 Device & Technical Data
- Device type and operating system version (for crash reporting)
- App version and usage analytics
- Crash logs and performance data (via Firebase Crashlytics)
- FCM device token (for push notifications — all users who grant notification permission)
2.5 Subscription Data
Subscription purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store (StoreKit 2). We do not collect or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide and improve the MotoriGo app experience
- Sync your data across devices (Pro subscribers — automatic)
- Send push notifications for fuel price updates and general announcements (all users, with your permission)
- Send push notifications for service reminders and mileage alerts (Pro subscribers only, with your permission)
- Generate expense analytics and insights within the app
- Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
- Process and verify subscription status
4. Data Storage & Security
4.1 Local-First Architecture
MotoriGo stores all your data locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Free plan users' data stays entirely on-device and is never transmitted to the cloud. Pro subscribers' data is automatically synced to the cloud to enable multi-device access — a complete local copy is always maintained on-device regardless of subscription tier.
4.2 Cloud Sync (Pro Subscription)
Pro subscribers' data is automatically synced to Google Firebase Firestore with the following security measures:
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Firebase Security Rules restrict data access to your authenticated account only
- Data structure:
users/{your-uid}/vehicles/{id}/...— only accessible by your account - Timestamp-based conflict resolution ensures data consistency
4.3 Image Storage
Vehicle photos and service receipt images are stored locally on your device. Pro subscribers' images are also automatically uploaded to Firebase Storage for cloud backup and synchronization across devices. Images are included in full backups and are encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest in cloud storage.
4.4 Biometric Security
MotoriGo supports optional biometric app lock (Face ID, Touch ID). Biometric data is never collected or stored by the app — authentication is handled entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework on your device.
5. Third-Party Services
MotoriGo integrates with the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication — Account management and sign-in
- Firebase Firestore — Cloud data synchronization (Pro subscribers)
- Firebase Storage — Cloud image storage and backup (Pro subscribers)
- Firebase Crashlytics — Pseudonymous crash reporting and stability monitoring
- Firebase Analytics — Pseudonymous usage analytics to improve the app
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — Push notifications for all users (fuel prices, announcements) and Pro subscribers (service reminders, mileage alerts)
- Google Maps SDK / Places API — Fuel station search and location services
- Apple StoreKit 2 — Subscription purchase processing

6. Data Export & Deletion
6.1 Your Right to Access & Export
You can export all your data at any time directly from the app:
- CSV export of all vehicles, services, and fuel entries
- JSON export for complete data portability
- Full ZIP backup including all data and photos
6.2 Your Right to Delete
You can delete your data at any time:
- Delete individual vehicles, services, or fuel entries within the app
- Full database reset from Settings to wipe all local data
- Request complete account and cloud data deletion by contacting us
When you delete your account, all associated cloud data (Firestore documents) is permanently removed. Local data on your device is deleted when you reset the database or uninstall the app.
7. Children's Privacy
MotoriGo is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete that information.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete your cloud data within 30 days. Pseudonymous crash and analytics data may be retained for up to 12 months for app improvement purposes.
9. International Data Transfers
If you are using MotoriGo from outside the United Arab Emirates, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers (Google Firebase) maintain servers. These transfers are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
